Entrepreneur starts the business with lot of passion and enthusiasm. With lot of hard work and commitment brings the business to one level. Then finds it difficult to go to next level. Start-up skills gives us early success and helps us to survive the first few high-risk years. But after reaching one level entrepreneur needs scaling-up skills. Unfortunately, they do not have time, patience, piece of mind or habit of reading to acquire these skills. We at Impetus help them to acquire these skills in the simplest and most implementable form so they can focus on their core business and learn theses skills.
what are these 5 different levels from where an Entrepreneur operates.
Superhero
You are a highly capable individual. One-man army. Firefighter. Knows and does everything in the company. Good for the first 3 years of business. Side effects start from the 4th year. No one takes initiative and uses their brain other than the owner.
Hero with helper
Superhero hires people, pays them salary but people are not ready because they need to be trained and developed. These 12 to 18 months are frustrating & painful but important & crucial for team and organization building.
Manager
Your (Hero with helper) team members after 3-6-12-18 months are ready for their assigned task and become good performers. You handle current business and ensure business survive.
Leader
You develop a team of managers who have performers under them. Your managers handle current business. You focus on building next level organisation. You go in unknown - New customers, team, products and services.
Entrepreneur
You have leadership team who leads the organization. It becomes a vision & system driven organization. Your role is to organise resources for leadership team. You are Level-5 leader, and your organisation is level-5 organization. You build autopilot mode organisation .
